GILLETTE INDIA LTD QUARTERLY OUTLOOK & RECOMMENDATION Gillette India Ltd, one of the foremost FMCG brands posted subdued fourth quarter results. The company reported 36% fall in its Net Profit or PAT and EBDITA in the current June quarter compared to the corresponding quarter previous year. Profit After Tax stood at Rs. 469 mn against Rs. 728 mn in the Q4 FY16. EBDITA stood at Rs. 796mn compared to Rs. 1237mn in the same period previous year. The company has discontinued its portable power segment effective from 29th February 2016 in pursuance of the decision of the parent company, Procter and Gamble Company U.S.A to exit portable power business. Thus the company is reeling under the impact of discontinuance of portable power business and also high competition in oral care segment. How the company deals with the current situation will be clear in the next quarter. We recommend Hold for the company for medium and long term. read the full report below
